03/08
- "Bona Makes You Sweat" - The new live recording is now out on Universal Japan...we recorded the music over two nights at the legendary A38 river boat/club (docked on the Danube River) in Budapest, Hungary in July of 2006.

01/08 - "Closed Circuit" - I've just finished the score for Catherine Ross’ new video work in which
a flying telephone searches endlessly for it’s place in time.

09/07 - F.O.N.T.
 - I've been invited to perform with my group, the Taylor Haskins Experiment, as part
of the Festival of New Trumpet Music (aka F.O.N.T.),
on September 29th at the Cornelia Street Café.
The show begins at 9pm; hope to see you there!

06/07 - Downbeat Magazine - The June issue featured an article entitled "25 Trumpets
For the Future", and includes yours truly. As I like to say, the future is now.

04/07 - PS1/Moma - "Silicone Valley" - I composed the score for Catherine Ross'
video work entitled "Trilling"
which will be shown as part of this exhibition from

February 11th - April 9th, 2007 at PS1 in Queens.

02/07 - The Richard Bona Group - I signed on to join this virtuoso
bassist/vocalist's band in the summer of 2006 and we've been touring heavily ever since.

Check out the calendar section for upcoming dates, or go to Richard's site bonatology.com to
hear clips of his music
and read more about him.

01/07 - Rön Revög available on iTunes! -
I play keyboards, drums, and sometimes bass in the
band (we're all multi-instrumentalistsof a sort) and we've been jamming
together regularly for many years.
In the late '90s we started recording our late-night jams and suddenly here we
are with actual albums
worth of material somehow.

12/06 - Anthony Coleman -"Pushy Blueness" -I'm playing with the TILT Brass Ensemble on the newest recording by this 'downtown' NYC master. He's a
brilliant composer, and the piece I played on kept constantly evolving each time we performed it because
of his guidance and
expertise in how to give life to music.

11/06 - Applied Microphone Technology (AMT) -
I now offically endorse the AMT P800 'Studio' microphone by this great, small company in NJ. They make their
mics by hand and mine sounds truly unbelievable; it's so well-tuned for the trumpet that it's literally plug-and-play,
every time. It's an amazing piece of technology. They make mics for a wide range of instruments...check them out.

07/06 - "Metaview" -
My second recording project as a leader has been released on Fresh Sound/New Talent and is now available on iTunes; it features
Andrew Rathbun (saxes), Adam Rogers (guitars), Matt Penman (bass),and Mark Ferber (drums).

05/06 - “Larry Makes a Sandwich" -
Coldcut Films has recently released this short film for which I composed the score. It tells the story of Larry, a hapless guy just trying to
do his job making sandwiches at the local deli. The problem is that he’s an immigrant from a far-away land and has no idea what a
sandwich is. The film follows Larry through his arduous journey from sandwich neophyte to sandwich expert.

04/06 - Guillermo Klein y Los Guachos "Live in Barcelona" -
This recording is now out on FS/NT. It was a special set for this band, at the end of a very special tour. I’ve been performing with the band for about ten years. Check out the live vibe in Spain on this new disc. The band will be perfoming at the Village Vanguard for two weeks in June of 2007.

03/06 - “Sorry, Haters”
 - I contributed music to the recently released feature film "Sorry, Haters" starring Robin Wright Penn. The movie premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September and is getting great reviews. I saw a cast & crew screening last November and was blown away.

02/06
- Dave Holland Big Band - Grammy™ Award! -
"Overtime" has won a 2006 Grammy™ award for Best Large Ensemble Jazz Recording. I’m humbled to be playing lead trumpet on the newest recording by this incredible family of players.

01/06 - Edit - "Certified Air Raid Material" -
I played trumpet(s) on a track for Ed Ma’s new record-in-the-making under his pseudonym edIT, for the Alpha Pup label.. Ed also puts out records on Planet-Mu. He’s a super-intuitive musician and quite a nice chap to boot. Plus, he lays down incredible, freaky beats that I really dig.
